Sour Cream noodle bake goodness!

Recently I came across a recipe that caught my eye. Sour cream noodle bake just the title itself intrigued me. So I went to the store and got all the fixin's for it. Now I didn't follow the recipe completely, because I like to make a recipe my own, and let me tell you IT WAS DELISH! My hubbs is not a fan of sour cream at all and he even liked it. So here it is for you so you can make it for yourself. Enjoy!

Sour Cream Goodness!

Ingredients

YUMMY!!!
  • 1-1/4 pound Ground Chuck
  • 1 can 15-ounces Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 8oz package of Egg Noodles
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1-1/4 cup Small Curd Cottage Cheese
  • 1 cup Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese

    Italian seasoning is optional!
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Brown ground chuck (or whatever ground meat you prefer) in a large skillet. Drain fat, then add tomato sauce. 1/2 teaspoon salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper and Italian seasoning. Stir, then simmer on med-low heat while you prepare the other ingredients.
Cook egg noodles, Drain and set aside.

    Can ya keep up?!

In a medium bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese. Add plenty of ground black pepper to your liking. Add to noodles and stir.

To assemble, add half of the noodles to a baking dish. Top with half the meat mixture, then sprinkle on half the grated cheddar. Bake for 30 minutes, or until all cheese is melted.

I served mine with Salad and bread, you can decide how to serve yours!

    Happy eating!
